8 Weeks

8 weeks...a part of me wants to say "already" and the other part of my wants to say "only." I'm still VERY sick. Morning sickness hit sooner with this one than it did with Hunter. I hope that means it will end sooner too, but I honestly don't remember exactly when it ended with Hunter. I'm praying that the second trimester will bring better days. Poor Greg has just had to put up with me being sick all the time, which he has been wonderful in doing so. He's taking such good care of me. I thought to inform him the other day that it won't be like this (Lord willing) the whole pregnancy. There is a time when I feel good, and (mostly) normal! It occurred to me that with my pregnancy with Hunter, he deployed soon after my morning sickness came, and returned when I was 8 months pregnant. So he never got to experience the wonderful second trimester with me! So, I told him hopefully in a few more weeks, I'll be back to normal...at least for a little while. :)

Dining Out

Last night, we decided to eat out at Texas Roadhouse. We had a BOGO coupon for a free entree, so why not!?

It was a really enjoyable dinner. We weren't celebrating anything, and nothing in particular happened, it was just a nice dinner out to eat.

We were there for quite a while, because with my stomach, I just have to graze all day and not let my stomach get too hungry or too full. Greg called me a 'cow.' Isn't that sweet? ;) Anyway, because of this, I took a really long time to eat even half of my meal, so we were there for quite a while. Hunter was absolutely wonderful the whole time. He ate his meal with no problems and quietly played with his monster trucks when we were finished. Greg and I had good conversation the whole time (with the exception of the 'cow' remark.)

For the first time, I realized that Hunter is at an age where we can take him to restaurants and not have to be in and out before he loses it. He's a well behaved little boy that sits there quietly until we're ready to go. So with our son finally like this, what do we think it's time to do?

HAVE ANOTHER!

7 Weeks

Ok, 7 weeks has come upon us already! And you know what that means? I have OFFICIALLY made it past the point where I started having complications with my last pregnancy, and I am having no issues. I am SO thankful for this, and so excited that God is blessing us with another child. However, morning sickness is here. Throwing up has become part of my morning routine. I have to make sure I get up early enough to have enough time to do that before leaving to get the kids I watch. (Sorry if TMI!) I am trying to be thankful in spite of it, because I know it means the pregnancy is doing well. Poor Greg doesn't really know what to say or do. I think he feels bad for me, but knows there's nothing that can be done. He's been sweet to me though.

7 weeks also means something else...I'm over halfway done with this awful first trimester...WOO HOO!!

Guess What We're Doing Again?

MOVING!!

Yes, we are crazy people. This will be our 6th move in less than 5 years. Thankfully out of all 6, this is one of 2 local moves. When we were looking for a place in VA Beach while still in Phoenix, we were having a really hard time finding a place we were happy with. Eventually, we found the townhome we're in now, and she was willing to do a 3 month lease for us. So we moved into the townhome knowing it wasn't big enough and we would definitely be finding a new place at the end of the 3 months.

Well, after MONTHS of searching, we have found the place! It's a 4 bedroom ranch, so there's room for the little addition AND we will still have a guest bedroom! And it's actually through the same property management company as our place now, which saved us a lot of hassle and fees. Since it's only been 3 months, we didn't have to pay another application fee. AND instead of having to pay a whole new security deposit, we just had to pay the $175 difference between the two places! GOD IS GOOD! I was becoming a little stressed wondering how we were going to come up with $1000+ for another deposit.

I KNOW this is the house God intended for us. The day after we looked at it, I was already brainstorming about how I was going to tackle the cleaning! We do have to buy a washer and dryer, but goodness, we've been married for 4.5 years. It's about time we own some appliances other than a microwave!

Anyway, our lease is up here on June 30th. We're hoping to get into the house a little before then so have an overlap to move, but it just depends on when the current tenants move out. Either way, it should be a busy few weeks coming up. I will definitely post pictures once we're all moved in though!

Potty Training!

So last Friday, the kids I watch wanted to go to the library. So, after school, I was a crazy lady and took four kids into a building where you get in trouble if you're too loud. The visit wasn't too bad. I did have a little trouble from the 10 year old who was not happy that I made him get a real book instead of an Ultimate Pokemon Cheat Code book. (Can you believe it? I must be the meanest baby sitter in the world.) Anyway, I had picked out a book for Hunter that I was going to get and then on our way out I saw this...
I picked that book right up and we were on our way! Once I was home from work Friday night, we sat down and read the book. It starts out by saying "Michael is a boy just your age. Michael likes to play with toys and look at books. Do you like those things to?" As soon as I asked the question, Hunter's eyes lit up and he said "YEAH!" It had some more questions like that, and Hunter really loved the book. At the end of it, I asked him if he wanted to put big boy underpants on like Michael and go in the potty. Well, he did go pee pee in the potty, and kept his underpants dry all Friday night. We started again on Saturday. He did have 3 accidents all day, but I think that's pretty good for just starting! Sunday was even better, and I even printed a Potty Chart that he gets to put stickers on every time he goes.

He LOVES the potty chart! He loves getting another sticker to put on there. It only took a couple days and he hasn't had any accidents! It was like, as soon as he made the mind change that we go pee pee in the potty and not a diaper, that was it! He's even staying dry during nap time and through the night! Pooping is another issue, and we haven't been successful at that yet, but he's doing really well with #1!

Any suggestions for helping with #2? (And please don't say an enima...I'm not really fond of that idea.)

6 Weeks

Please excuse the way I look...the picture is all about the belly!

All I can say is that fatigue has definitely settled in, and morning sickness is making it's way in too! I'm not feeling very well most of the day...but that means the pregnancy is healthy (funny how that works) so PRAISE GOD!!
