Big Girl Bed!
Mr. Gunnar kept getting his appendages stuck in between the slats of the port-a-crib because he is so big so it was time to make the switch! Kylee gets a big girl toddler bed and Gunnar now has the crib.
I'd posted a while back that we put the two older kids together. However, Ms. Kylee was waking up way too early (she normally sleeps in until about 8:30) and she was waking up her brother. So we decided to move her back into her own room again and we moved Gunnar in with Hunter. With all this room sharing, he has become a decently heavy sleeper. This is the best scenario so far and the older two are back to sleeping on their normal schedules and Gunnar also sleeps pretty well for a three-month-old.
Hopefully Kylee will sleep well even though she'll be able to get out of bed now. We'll see come nap time!
Oh, and yes! That is, indeed, a pillow case with a picture of Gregory and me on it. I made it for him when he was deployed and it's one of the few non-flannel pillow cases we have to use for her. And actually, she loves having "muh-mee" and "dah-dee" on her pillow!

3 Months
I can't believe my sweet guy is three months already!
He is huge! He doesn't fit in some 3-6 month clothing if it's on the smaller side. He's definitely following in his brother's footsteps.
He is such a joy though. He is so content and so happy. He'll smile and anyone that talks to him. He's my sweet guy. We love him so much!

Independence Day and Blueberry Picking
We had a wonderful Independence Day. Greg was off of work for the day and my mom was in town for the week.
We started our day off by going to the Riverbend parade. Hunter had never been to a parade before, and neither had I! It was definitely a small one, but it was enjoyable. They had WWII veterans in the parade and people applauded them. I love moments like that of our people showing true patriotism and honor for those who had a hand in fighting for our country.
Here's grammy and Gunnar waiting for the parade to start.
Me and my baby girl.
After church, we watched the New Bern fireworks. We just happened to park next to some friends of ours when looking for a spot, so it was fun to visit with everyone while we waited for them to start. This is what flash from a camera does to my pasty white-skinned boy...
I wonder where he gets it from...? (And my silly husband.)
Here's a better one...
My goofy Kylee with crazy hair.
The next morning we went blueberry picking with the Friedleins, and WOW it was hot! We got there about 9:30 am and it was already almost 90 degrees! It was a lot of fun though!
At first, Kylee enjoyed letting grammy pick for her.
Then she got the hang of it herself.
Hunter had fun too!
After a while, Kylee decided playing in the dirt was more fun.
We left with just under 5 pounds of blueberries, and between my mom, Hunter, Kylee and me, we had them gone the next evening just by munching on them all day! They were so good! Maybe I'll go back and get some that I'll actually bake with. :)

Our Very First...
...home-grown tomato! Thank you, Goodfellow's, for the tomato plant! That was seriously the best tasting tomato I've ever had!
Fun at the Beach
This past Saturday, we went to the beach! While Greg was in school, we said we wanted to be back on the east coast to be close to the beach. But actually making that happen with three kids is hard to do...and a little intimidating.
BUT, we packed everyone up on Saturday because the weather was supposed to be great. The drive to the beach is only about 45 minutes from our house and parking is free. We went to the same beach we used to go to when we lived here the first time. The last time we were there, I was 8 months pregnant with our first, so it was quite a change this time!
In years past, Hunter has always been really intimidated by the water and just wanted to play in the sand. The first hour and a half proved to be the same.
(Sorry all the pictures are cloudy. I think there was something on my lense)
and attempted to bury Hunter in the sand.
Kylee enjoyed putting sand from one shovel to another...
Fun, right?!
This video very accurately represents how she played in the sand also...
After a while, Hunter warmed up to the water and played in it with us. I took him in the shallow part and we splashed around, and then Greg picked him up and they went in deeper. He had so much fun with the waves, Greg actually said he wanted to go deeper than Greg could handle. Hunter is always extremely cautious about new things but I'm glad he warmed up to the waves and trusted mommy and daddy when we said we wouldn't let anything happen to him.
Gunnar had a great time too.
I love him so much!
Kylee was sleeping before we got out to the main road,
And Hunter wasn't far behind her!
It was such a fun family day. I can't wait to do it again!
