Today for the shoot out, we got to fill in the blank of "My favorite place to ____." I chose my favorite place to run.
We have only been here in AZ for a little over a month now, but I am still amazed at the gorgeous scenery compared to the Midwest. Everywhere you look, there are mountains around here! And we actually live in the edge of one of the mountain ranges here, so we have desert hills (as they call them) all around us. Today, I am posting pictures of the scenery that I get to look at every time I run the 3 mile path I do around our neighborhood.
And a refreshing run you must have :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday - these are beautiful.
Beautiful sunset! pretty area.
ReplyDeleteEmma, it must be great having such a beautiful outdoor running atmosphere. Your post reminded me of an experience one of my twin daughters had in southern Utah. She did early morning runs through isolated areas similar to those you depict. One morning along the trail she started seeing animal tracks. She started having visions of bears, cougars, snakes, etc. and decided to turn around and go back the way she had came.
ReplyDeleteThinking her story was histerical, I carved a jogging stick for her to carry on her runs. I burned little messages on the stick like, "Hit bear, here." "Club cougar, here." "Trap snake, here." We still joke about it today after quite a few years.
LOVE the cactus! I would be highly inspired to run in that atmosphere, too!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the final shot with the cactus sillouette!
ReplyDeletewow! fantastic! I love the cactus one also.
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous! beautiful shots. Isn't it great what God's created?! So inspiring.
ReplyDeleteThe cactus against the sky is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are beautiful. You must feel yourself wrapped in this quiet atmosphere every time you run. It looks so comfortable. Thank you for sharing these pics, Emma.
ReplyDeleteI love the mountains and miss them here in Toronto. The sky is spectacular.
ReplyDeleteGood for you, runner gal! I would probably get up early to run if we had sunrises like that...and mountains to look at...that's my new excuse for why I can only do 2 miles. LOL!
